Reinstalling the OS
To create Windows 10 installation media, follow these steps:
Download the Windows 10 ISO File:
- Visit the Microsoft Software Download Windows 10 page from a Windows 7, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10 device.
- On this page, you can download a disc image (ISO file) that can be used to install or reinstall Windows 10. Choose your Windows 10 edition and version.
Create Installation Media:
- Once you have the ISO file, you can create installation media using either a USB flash drive or a DVD.
- Attach a USB flash drive (with at least 8 GB of space) or insert a blank DVD into the PC where you want to install Windows 10.
- Restart your PC. If it doesn’t automatically boot to the USB or DVD media, you might need to open a boot menu or change the boot order in your BIOS settings.
- On the “Install Windows” page, select your language, time, and keyboard preferences, and then click “Next.”
- Choose “Install Windows” to begin the installation process.
Additional Methods:
- If you prefer other methods for using the ISO file to install Windows 10, you can find more information on the Microsoft Support page.
